Our Services

We are the first wholly Ghanaian owned independent entity to hold a majority interest and operate an oil and gas asset in Ghana. Our goal is to be the first wholly Ghanaian owned independent entity to operate a producing oil and gas block in Ghana. we aim to explore cleaner services of energy and in this regard are focusing on developing our natural gas fields.
Upstream
In 2008, Springfield was registered with the aim of becoming an Exploration and Production company. In 2012 the process to acquire a Block in Ghana started. We commenced our involvement in upstream exploration and production opportunities, when the Government of Ghana awarded us our pioneer asset, West Cape Three Points Block 2 Offshore Ghana (WCTP2). WCTP2 covers 673 square km located in the Tano / Western Basin.
Downstream
Springfield commenced trading operations in 2008 to meet the local demand of imported refined products as well as crude oil and became one of the pioneer players in Ghana’s downstream sector.

We obtained a license in 2010 as a Bulk Distribution Company (BDC) from Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority (NPA) for the procurement, sale and distribution of petroleum products to Oil Marketing Companies (OMC’s) and refineries.
Oil Field
Springfield acquired a permit to provide technical and logistical support services to the upstream petroleum industry in Ghana in 2011.
